Wow!, what a turnout. We need
participation like this in every tournament. It's hard to beat a night
tournament on Lake Austin. Several nice fish were weighed in. The
tournament started with the air temp at 75, water temp at 63.1, wind around 10MPH
from the North, and partly cloudy skies. During the tournament, the wind blew
around 15 - 25 from the NNE and the temperature dropped to the mid 40's as a
weak cold front passed. We ended the tournament with the air temp at 51,
water temp at 59.5, partly cloudy skies, and windy. A total of 52 fish weighed
150.60 pounds.
The winning team was able to find a pattern
that produced a limit of fish. They caught all of their fish on texas
rigged 10"
power worms worked on the outside edge of the bulrushes that were near deep
water on the lower end of the lake. The big bass of the tournament came on a carolina rigged lizard
above city park.
