It's starting to cool
down and the fishing should start picking up. We expected
the fishing to be good since a cold front was expected to arrive
early Sunday morning. The tournament started with the air
temp at 70, water temp at 74.2, no wind, and cloudy skies.
We ended the tournament with the air temp at 90, water temp at 76,
wind at 10 - 15MPH from the SW, and clear skies. A total of
41 fish weighed 63.10 pounds. Check out the 19-10
striper that Mike caught on a spinner bait.
The winning team reported
catching most of their fish on white spinner baits on the upper
end of the lake. The second place team caught 5 fish on buzz
baits early in the morning. The first fish in the boat which
was also big bass of the tournament came on a buzz bait on a do
nothing bank in 1 foot of water. They finished the day
catching the rest of their fish on finesse worms.
