Another long night tournament.
The bite was slow, but Dean pulls out another win. I had to
leave after the mid tournament weigh-in at 1:00AM, so I don't have all
the stats on conditions. When the tournament started, the air
temp was 88, water temp at 79, a slight SE breeze, and partly cloudy
skies. When I left at 1:00, the air temp was in the lower 70's,
water temp at 77, a slight SE breeze, and clear skies. A total
of 19 fish weighed 46.82.
The 1st place team fished above 360
and caught their fish in dark areas around the boat docks on 10"
junebug red worms, 6" junebug red lizards, and buzzbaits. They
also had big bass of the tournament. The 2nd place team fished
below 360 flipping black and blue jigs around docks in shallow water.
They reported that the fish were holding tight to cover.
