It's hard to believe that
no team had a limit. The tournament started with the air temp at
41, water temp at 58, wind from the East at 10, and cloudy
skies. The tournament ended with the air temp at 52, water temp
at 58, wind from the East at 15 - 25, and cloudy skies. A total
of 53 bass weighed 182.82.
The 1st place team started
in the intake using jigs. Dean had one 3 pound fish come off and
caught two 6 pound fish. They started having battery problems,
so they headed to the Park Prairie ramp to get a new battery.
While Dean was at the truck getting a battery, Wayne caught a 5 pound
fish on a wacky worm. They continued working the shoreline at
Park Prairie and picked up two more 3 pound fish on the wacky
worm. They ended the day catching two more fish on wacky.
The 2nd place team also reported catching fish on wacky worms and
spinner baits in shallow water and in the trees. No big bass was
weighed in, so the pot rolls to the next tournament.
