Tough fishing for most,
but Gary and Dean prove it can be done. The tournament started
with the air temp at 52, water temp at 59, no wind and clear
skies. The tournament ended with the air temp at 79, water temp
at 61, wind from the North at 15 - 20, and clear skies. A total
of 31 bass weighed 90.17.
The 1st place team
committed to fishing shallow water and it paid off. They caught
four of their ten sight fishing with black/blue jigs and flukes.
They rounded off their limit with white shad spinner baits and
swimming a jig. They also had big bass of the tournament and it
was caught on the jig under a boat dock. Good thing Dean was
using 50lb braid because that big fish wrapped him around the
dock. The 2nd place team also caught their fish shallow on the
lower end of the lake using brush hogs.
