With overcast conditions,
we had a comfortable day of fishing. The air temp ranged from 72
to 87, water temp was at 75, wind from the SE at 10 - 15, and overcast
skies turning mostly cloudy. A total of 57 bass weighed 101.68.
The 1st place team caught
their fish on main lake points on the lower end of the lake on spinner
baits and plastics. The bigger fish were caught on the spinner
baits in 10 - 15' of water. They also had big bass of the
tournament caught on the spinner bait. The 2nd place team fished
two types of areas. The first area type was steep banks and they
used crank baits, c-rigs, and spinner baits. The second area
type was gradual flats and they used watermelon seed flukes in these
areas.
