The air temp ranged from 68 to 78,
water temp ranged from 74 to 75, a slight breeze from the South, and
overcast skies turning mostly cloudy. A total of 60 bass weighed
84.20.
The first place team fished mid
lake and caught most of their fish on white buzz baits. They
threw the buzz bait up to 1PM. They reported missing 10 fish
before landing their first keeper. After 1PM, they caught one
keeper on a brush hog and one keeper on a lizard. The second
place team started mid lake fishing the green lights in the water.
Their first 14 1/2" spottie was caught before daylight in a dark area
around a dock on a red shad power worm. They caught the rest of
their fish up lake using flukes around the big balls of shad that were
being worked by stripers and whites. Big bass of the tournament
was caught on the lower end of the lake around 8:30AM on a crawdad
pattern crankbait.
