With the lake turning over, the fishing was better than expected.  Just like the last time we fished Choke in February, we had a repeat day 1 performance from the top 2 teams.  Richard and Bryan took the day 1 lead with 10 fish weighing 33.06.  Bill and Sylvester took 2nd place on day 1 with 10 fish weighing 25.44.  But, just like last year, Bill and Sylvester were able to take the overall win with 20 fish weighing 45.31.  Richard and Bryan slipped to 4th overall after boating only 1 keeper on day 2.  Overall, there were 128 bass that weighed 299.50.

The 1st place team targeted the edge of the grass in 10 - 12' using flukes.  They noted that you had to watch your line.  If you felt the bite, it was a short fish.  If your line started moving off without any detection, it was a solid keeper.  The 2nd place team also targeted the grass edges, but had to result to drop shotting and work the bait in one spot for a while.  The big bass of the tournament was caught in 18' on a Senko.
