WOW! 14 teams - The best turnout we've ever had.  The combination of pre-spawn, changing weather patterns, and fluctuating lake levels made for some unique fishing situations.  Some members found empty beds with skittish males close by while other members found fish in deeper water ready to move up.  The tournament started with the air temp at 48, water temp at 57, a slight NE wind at 5MPH, and foggy skies.  The tournament ended with the air temp at 77, water temp at 59, wind from the NE at 5 - 15MPH, and partly cloudy skies.  A total of 66 bass weighed 147.09.

The first place team fished in 2 - 8' of water and picked up two keepers right off the bat.  The rest of their fish were caught sporadically throughout the day.  They were throwing light weight rigs fishing for bedding and staging fish.  The 2nd place team did not fish any shallower than 8'.  They caught their limit and culled several fish working the top of the grass with rigs.  The big bass of the tournament was caught on a c-rigged fluke.  The fish hit the bait as he was reeling up to make another cast.
