Where are all the big fish?
That's what many anglers were asking as they were trying wade through
the dinks to find a keeper. The tournament started with the air
temp at 65, water temp at 70 (Bar-K), no wind, and partly cloudy
skies. The tournament ended with the air temp at 86, water temp
at 74 (Bar-K), wind from the N at 5, and partly cloudy skies. A
total of 63 bass weighed 92.63.
The first place team fished above
Tournament Point and used finesse tactics to catch their limit.
They used watermelon seed flukes and finesse worms in 3 - 7' of water
around submerged brush and shady structures. The second place
team fished the lower end of the lake and used Spot Removers and 4"
green pumpkin c-rigs on ledges in 12' of water. The second place
team also had big bass of the tournament which was caught on the
c-rigged finesse worm in 8 - 10' of water in brush.
