We had
13 members qualify to fish the 2006 BSCBC Classic Championship.
Each member drew for partners and starting order to fish this team
event. Only 5 fish were allowed per team and the lake was off
limits for one month. All teams reported that the fishing
was very slow and had to really work for the fish that were
caught. A total of 23 fish weighed 67.72.
The 1st place team keyed on schools of shad in
15' of water. Their early fish were caught on crank baits
and their last keeper was caught at 11a on a C-rig. The 2nd
place team and big bass winners had 5 bites all day. All
fish came on a variety of baits, but the big fish was caught on a
red shad craw in 6' off a grass line. Fishin solo for 3rd
place, Jimmy Lynn caught his two nice keepers in buck brush on a
jig. |
